Subject:

  • The project envisages the development of a universal search assistant system which will help researchers to operate with the variety of databases. The system opens access to the World’s digital heritage, collected in the immense number of databases and repositories, through interoperation and semantic analysis of the information inputted by user. Multimedia materials available in multiple of not-necessarily digital format will be accessible in a multiple digital formats for viewing, re-use and exploitation in custom applications. User communities addressed are owners of massive audio-visual cultural heritage repositories where material is stored in various, generally non-digital formats making them difficult if not impossible for general access, even within the institution itself, not mentioning controlled public access. Such users include TV stations and other national audio-visual archives.
